The 2020 Guided 365
Learn photography with a quick and easy daily photo lesson
Your photos should be as unforgettable as the moments they capture.
You know that feeling that comes over you sometimes when you think about your kids: the heart-bursting swell of love combined with a desperate desire to live the moment forever?

Or maybe it's the feeling you get when standing in front of an amazing landscape or sunset. You want to relive that view over and over and share it with friends.

Try as you might, your photos don't reflect what your heart feels. The bad exposure or soft focus is in the way.

Your photos can be as unforgettable as the moments they capture.

Your photos can reflect what's in your heart so that the love you feel will be apparent in every photo you take. Imagine what a gift this will be to your kids and grandkids when they look at your photos 50 years from now.

Whether you're a mom experiencing for the first time how fast kids grow, a grandmother who knows all too well how precious her grandkids are, or anyone who wants to indulge in a rewarding hobby, this online photography workshop will teach you, step by step, how to take unforgettable photos.

Erin, I started my photography journey with you on January 1, 2017. I just wanted to share with you that I did my very first "professional" shoot this weekend! It did not go perfectly, and there is a lot I still need to work on to get to that pro level, but I wanted to say thank you for all that you have taught me!! I would not have gotten where I am if it wasn't for you and your ability to teach in such a way that photography totally started to click with me! I don't know how you do what you, but I do know that there is no one better!! Here are a couple of shots from my shoot this weekend :) - Kristy D.

"Erin,

I know I've said this repeatedly throughout the class, but I just LOVE your 365 class.  Now having gotten really into photography and looked at other education, I can really appreciate what we are getting.  It's so in depth, yet you make it simple to understand.

Each module could EASILY cost over $300 on its own.  I can't believe what you offer people for $20 a month.  I feel like it is a hidden gem in the photography world.  I feel sorry for people who are trying to start out and haven't found your class!

Especially people who really want to learn and can't afford to spend a million dollars on classes.  I tell everyone I know who is interested in photography!

I also really love the community of students you have created.  It's so fun to get to know and watch other classmates on their photography journey.

My best friend is starting your next class.  I can't wait to watch her go through what I am.  It will be so fun!

"I used to go from tutorial to tutorial trying to teach myself and understand everything without even knowing exactly what I  needed to learn.... Now I'm taking it one step at a time with you and enjoying shooting again.... Thank you, thank you for putting it together and teaching other moms what you know.... This course should come with every dSLR." - Katherine V. (class of 2016)

FEEDBACK

Want me to check your homework?

The Basic Guided 365

The beauty of the Guided 365 is that it's community-driven. When you post a photo on Instagram, other students see it and can leave comments with their observations and suggestions. And the more you comment on your classmates' photos, they more they will comment on yours.

And I'll help you with knowing what to say about photos after class starts.

I will answer each and every one of your questions about the lessons that you post on the lesson page, regardless about which Guided 365 option you choose. And I might leave a comment on your photos from time to time.

Upgrade for Feedback

For an additional charge, I will comment on 15 of your photos each month, guaranteed! The feedback will be positive, actionable, and helpful. I'll tell you whether you did the assignment correctly, what else you did right, and what I would have done differently. And as the year progresses, I'll help you identify your photographic style.

  • Feedback will be delivered on your Instagram posts.
  • I will choose the 15 photos to provide feedback on.
  • No refunds available if you aren't able to post 15 photos in any given month, but I would be happy to change your account to the non-feedback option if that works better for you.
  • Feedback period ends on December 31, 2020. But, just like the basic Guided 365, you can still access your course material and ask questions for as long as I maintain my website!

Thank you! Today I actually FELT like a photographer! I had the big honking lens on my camera at my son's first game of his last year of varsity baseball and was actually able to adjust my settings without pulling the camera from my face or having waves of panic come over me trying to get a shot and having it correctly exposed! WHAT AN AMAZING feeling. I think it earned me brownie points with my son because he got to see the shots of himself pitching! THANK YOU SO MUCH and again the format of this class is ingenious!!!! BEST. ABSOLUTELY THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

- Ruby A., class of 2019

Hi Erin! I just wanted to say thank you for this course, and sharing your knowledge. For the past 3 years I have been taking pictures for a local Headstart program. I have always struggled because the lighting is so difficult, and I didn't know what I needed to know to fix it. NOT THIS YEAR!! Even with terrible lighting, spotlights, candles etc I was able to shoot completely on manual and get good pictures. I just wanted you to know how much I have learned and appreciate you and this course. Hugs, Tracey

- Tracey L., class of 2019

Best thing I have EVER done for my photography

"I have never taken any class ( and I have taken several at 2 local colleges in my area,  not to mention the online classes I have done also), watched any video or done anything that has progressed my photography skills like the guided 365 class did for me--it was a TOTAL game changer--once I understood  my camera, what each function does, and how and when to use them, it opened up so many new avenues  and also gave me confidence in the fact that I knew what I was doing for a change.  I wish I had taken this class when I first became interested in photography!! Also super cheap for the knowledge you gain...INVALUABLE!"
- Jodi F., class of 2017

My photos are much better

"I just wanted to thank you for this course! I am sitting here editing some photos I took of my beloved grandson over the past couple days, and it suddenly occurred to me that my editing has become easier simply because I am PAYING MORE ATTENTION  TO GETTING GOOD EXPOSURE IN CAMERA NOW and therefore my photos are much better exposed and easier to deal with right from the start! I have had my DSLR since 2015 and I also have some nice lenses, but up until now I have just muddled through piece-meal".
- Mary V., class of 2018

I'm amazed at how much I learned
"I can't begin enough to sing the praises of your course.  I'm amazed at how much I have learned...and how much I actually retained too!!!!   The class is a great mix of newbies, pro photographers and everyone in between.    Happy New Year and many thanks to you."
- Elle H., class of 2017
I appreciate the way the class is set up
"Although I am VERY behind, I appreciate the way the class is set up that I could/can work at my own pace, review old lessons and have access to everything even now that my 365 days are finished :-)  Like so many others have said, I have learned more from your classes than ALL the others I have attended in my lifetime.."
-Bonnie S., class of 2017

" Erin - I am so excited! I normally shoot inside for this class because of my work schedule. Today, I went outside. My first picture was awful and way overexposed. For the first time, I knew exactly what I needed to adjust to get the picture. Thank you for this class! I am way behind but still plugging along. I am having so much fun and it is so exciting to finally be figuring out how to really use my camera!

Brittany  (class of 2019)

"I just wanted to let you know how much I am loving being a part of your Guided 365 class. The lessons you have put together are incredible. They truly are easily manageable and I have a lot of fun practicing each assignment! I am learning so much about photography and about my camera...I am excited for each day's lesson to come, and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds! I have spent years watching YouTube videos, and reading articles and books and how-to's and I never got as much out of that as I have in the past 5 weeks with your class. So, I just wanted to say thank you for offering this opportunity for this wanna-be momtographer and helping me on the road to capturing treasured memories of my family!"
- Kristen D. (class of 2017)

So much has happened during the Guided365 this year for which I'm thankful. My abilities and confidence have grown exponentially. I've found ways to bring my creative ideas into reality and have them match what I see in my mind's eye. I've found friendships and connections to other photographers. And, I'm able to take something as simple as a pile of fallen, autumn leaves and create an image I'd want to display in my home (which is saying a lot, coming from someone with limited wall space and high self-standards.)
